I was waiting to see if someone could tell you that have moved this lily before but.........

I have never relocated Madonna Lilies but........ When I want to move any lilies I try to move them as soon as they come up and I can see them and I use a hand shovel and scrape around the top layer of soil very careful to find where the bulb is located.

There are times the plant comes up a good distance from where the bulb is really located. When I find where the bulb really is I dig a few inches away from the bulb and dig deep. I try to move it so it come up with as much soil attached as possible. That way it does not know it was moved and I still get the flower.

It works 90% of the time. As long as you do not damage the bulb or the roots it will flower this year. If you damage to many roots it will come up but not bloom but you will get flowers the following year. Make sure you give it some bulb booster in the new planting hole.
