Yesterday I was at several of the better nurseries and they all had the new Icecap shrub rose.
The online photos of it depict a stark white rose similar to Iceberg. However, all the ones I saw, which all had a ton of buds and a few open blooms were more of an ivory than a pure white.
I might go back and get one because that Ivory color is appealing to me. A lady who was there looking at them said she would describe it as a "champagne" color.
This rose is (supposedly) the new Iceberg and stays short...about 30" tall and equally as wide. I didn't detect even the slightest fragrance but that's ok and it's also supposed to be majorly disease resistant.
The shape of every bush I saw was perfectly symetrical and they look like a winner as far as being used for a low hedge.
