Where in Zone 8 are you? It would be helpful to know that. There are a lot of cactus that will grow outside in Zone 8 in California. Maybe not so much if your Zone 8 gets a lot of rain.

You may have better luck asking this question at the other end of summer. I had a lot of seeds last fall but they are long gone. If I find a couple, I will let you know.
