They say it's popcorn, but I've tried popping some kernels and not all pop well, I've been growing to save seed for 3 years now so I haven't tried much. I don't think they can be eaten when first ripe, instructions said harvest when husk is brown and corn is hard as it gains color as the husk dries more and more. I've been trying to get bigger kernels so this year see what grows! 🙂
