One can't be sure they will make it that far north, but they are definitely worth a try. So far mine (just west of Minneapolis) seem to want to split before they get big enough to produce more than six flowers per stem. (Lilium longiflorum) Easter lilies do that in a big way in our climate, and often break up into non-flowering size bulbs. So this is likely a trait that has carried over into Lankon, as it is L. longiflorum hybrid x L. lankongense. Mine grow in full sun.
