I have bought several mint plants and put them in a massive (12 inch in diameter) pot with normal potting soil that I got from 1 euro store. I also placed a few volcanic pebbles at the bottom. There isnt a tray to hold the water yet. It's been rainy a bit and I also water the plants with about 2 pints of water because the soil felt a bit dry (it is on the balcony, so not a lot of rain get there...some, but not a lot).

I am uploading a photo to show you guys that some of the leaves have just decided to become kinda floppy (in an almost 90ยบ angle).

By the way.....the soil is wet. I have just stuck my finger in it. So, my hinch is that it is not from underwatering (but I am no expert obviously).

There is also a photo of a single leaf. It has some light brown spots. What can that be?

Why is that? Am I underwatering it? Or maybe over?
Any thoughts?

Oh, and an important thing to mention: these plants get about 1-2 hrs of sunshine a day. There are too many tall building around ours. This happens around 1 pm to 2-3 pm. Furthermore, they have recently been replanted. I used the soil ball they came in and put it in a bigger pot.

My housemate has also spoken to me about this and told me that although I watered these plants a few days ago...I need to water them again, because they are really water thirsty plants. I am wondering if she is right, because too much water might make the roots rot, right?

UPDATE: things are back to normal. I had to get a plate that retains the water after watering. Watered them last night with about 2 gallons of water. Now they are back to normal as you can see in the image:
