I agree with what others have said, it looks like mechanical damage; sometimes it happens when nurseries cram plants into trucks for hauling them to the garden centers around the country and they get bumped and bruised along the way. I had a Dragon Tree (Dracaena reflexa var. angustifolia) planted in my yard once that would get leaf damage if we had extremely windy days.
