Believe it or not I live in a subdivison. We bought 2 1/2 acres on a private piece of land in the back of the neighborhood that backs up to a nature conserve so nothing can be built behind us. It's all trees that lead down to a big lake. our back yard has a severe drop off that then flattens out for an acre, which I am convinced this is where they took all the dirt from excavating the entire neighborhood and filled in a holler. my Iris are all over my yard front and back of the house gardens, fence line gardens and then the back field is now rows of Iris. And quickly growing. I love them there because no one can get to them. And the neighbors that can see them love them.
This is an old picture from 2 years ago. There's a lot of change since then. We completely rebuilt the rock creek that runs down through the back yard and I have louisanna Iris lining the creek now that I got last year for an ever so generous ATP memeber! I'll have to take a new one soon. When things are in bloom.
