There was one growing at the front porch. Users in another forum told me it would be safe to do that and replant it. I did that 3 weeks ago.

Will it live? It's been turned around opposite of the way I planted it. Not sure how that happened as it's securely in the ground. It has bulbs/buds (it was there before as well), no leaves have sprouted. I've watered it once a week.

If it's dead, will deer avoid eating it? They ate the leaves off the maple I replanted, which is near the oak. But they left the oak alone. I know deer like young bark, but not this Oak's bark.

Opinions?
