'Little Red Rooster' is a mini, a hybrid of ‘Wiggle Worms’ x ‘Red Sox’. It has lance-shaped, lightly wavy leaves that are slightly shiny satin green with a red petiole. Fast growth rate. I've had it since Spring 2007. I've found it a lovely little hosta that grows well. I've also found it to be fertile and I have one nice, fast-growing seedling from it. I had a streaked, almost white sport from that seedling too, but after several years it didn't survive. Like many of my hostas, it deteriorated in the latter half of August, but didn't deteriorate much more during September. Please feel free to share your pictures of this hosta.
