It does have thickish skin. Not bad though. I don't mind it at all. The skin is what helps it to keep from cracking.

The plants are common in my local nursery. I see them in 6 packs each year and that I what I have been buying. A six pack.

They are perfect size to put on skewers with other veggies when you make bobs on the grill. They also make great salad tomatoes although I cut mine in half to put it in salads.
