Hi, there,

My hydrangea leafed out too early and most of the new growth froze. It looks ugly so I cut it back by half, and took the opportunity to pull out ivy that was growing around the lower stems, but also noticed that it seems there are many more dead sticks (I mean with no growth or buds at all) than live ones. I think it's an accumulation over the years... Is there anything I need to do to "refresh" it?
