I've been growing "Jewel Mix" but thought it was time to try some different varieties. I picked up Burpee's "Night and Day" mix and "Papaya Cream" mix.

Curious about experience growing bi-color mixes. With "Jewel Mix" I've found orange to be the predominant color and since I've been sowing directly I end up with a mass of orange with the other colors intermittently mixed.

I'm considering sowing as usual and potting the leftover seeds to hopefully be able to "even up" the mix. Is that a viable plan? I've never seen Nasturtium available as standard annuals (6 packs/flats) So I'm guessing the potted singles will require a fair amount of root space? I've grown some in pots but never with intent to transplant so I'm completely inexperienced. Never one to back down from an inexpensive experiment but why waste time or (precious) nursery pots if it's not a viable option...

Thoughts and experience much appreciated! Smiling
