Yes, indeed. 43 years ago I arrived in Iowa for the first time and was introduced to sorghum on the organic farm of a wonderful older couple. I did not at that time know what sorghum was, but Lowell was cooking it down in a big copper boiler, and oh, the smell! It will forever be in my memory as one of the rites of Fall. I have not had it in a long time and now think I will have to go looking for some....
