Here's how I spent the last hour:

When Sue was here the other day, I noticed a pretty pink rose blooming in a redwood box, checked the label, and it had been snapped in half and the pertinent half was missing. It wasn't on any of my maps because it was growing in that redwood crate instead of in a flower bed. I tried to remember what I had planted there, but all I could come up with was Memoriam, although I know Memoriam is growing in another part of my garden.

It looked like a hybrid tea and I could tell it had been a Vintage Gardens label. All that was left on that half of the label was a "2," which had to be the last digit of the year of introduction, so I went to the Vintage site and searched for hybrid tea roses introduced in 1942, 1952, 1962, etc., and looked for a familiar name. Finally, in the 1992 group, I found it. It's Myriam.

Here's a picture of the lovely thing. It's really sunny out there right now, so I had to loom over the bloom to take a photo.
