That's just the way it is lol me too but i don't give up I have purple Cherokee tomatoes doing good grew them from seed. Knock on wood a few other old type with potato leaf. Roses to me are too much work I have plumeria here that smell as good as the best rose and no work. Never give up try a different way of what you did before i had good luck with 5 Gallon buckets. drill drain holes in bottom then on either side of bottom side cut holes2-3 inch put the plants thru holes and fill her up.
