Hi @cathywhit Welcome! to NGA

From what I read, it is a cross between species and a white oriental. It should be cold hardy for you, and does not need really cold weather to bloom. It does however do much better in our area (south &hot) if it gets a bit of shade during the hottest part of the day. As for planting, you should do that as soon as it arrives. It is a mid-summer bloomer and as with many lilies, may not reach its' full potential the first season.
