Hi Cyndi, and welcome. Even though we changed our name recently, we are still an international site, so your daughter is welcome to post here, too. If she could post a picture of the whole shrub, and also tell us what part of Australia she is living in, that will narrow the possibilities quite a bit. (Tasmania is a VERY different climate than Queensland . . for example).

We'd also like to know if the bush is evergreen or if it is losing its leaves going into winter down there. The height of the shrub and if it is growing in sun or shade also will help to know. Are the flowers fragrant? They look a little bit like a type of jasmine. But pink? Maybe not.
