It's called a fairy ring. You can dig it up, remove the center and plant the remaining healthy eyes. I've heard some gardeners suggest putting compost in the center and the plant is supposed to fill back in. If it's a big enough hosta you may not even see it once it grows and fills out.
When all is said and done, there’s more said than done.
