HI Succulover, no need to remove leaves. Once it has callused, it will just regrow new roots at the cut off point. Put in part shade for now. The remaining main plant stem, may/will just grow new rosettes/leaves, depending on the temps. I find that I find better regrow in Spring.. I had to cut off some of my overgrown succulents early Spring and was happy to see the main stem regrow new leaves. We had a rather prolonged Spring cool down, and the succulents had time to recover nicely.
