Thanks for teaching me this! A few years ago, our neighborhood had a problem with rampaging wild ferrets. A pair of them killed an enormous number of chickens on several different properties. We escaped; to this day I believe it was because I let a mother skunk nest under our hen house. I think she may have defended the entire property and thus saved our hens. I figured a few eaten eggs were a small price to pay!
