Thank you, everyone. When I made the shell, I made 3 and gave two away as gifts. I tried both perlite and vermiculite and was much happier with the look of the vermiculite shell.
I've been wanting to make more, but just haven't had any good ideas. I'd like to make a lantern, but need a good plan.
