The two pictures show different plants. The Maroon Shield (my creation) is A. odora x A. cuprea; the first picture looks to be Alocasia "Mayan Mask", a hybrid done by Brian Williams and is a cross of A. odora and A. x amazonica. I chose to cross A. odora with A. sanderiana 'Nobilis', one of the parents of A. x amazonica. A. x amazonica's other parent was A. watsoniana, now known as A. longiloba 'Watsoniana'. I also crossed A. odora with A. watsoniana, which yielded some amazing plants, not yet available on the market.
