Oh, geez, janet....you're amazing! What a great 'resource' you are and how lucky we are to have you here with us! Thank You.

Yes, it would figure....Hinckley and Heronswood are legendary in the PNW and the loss of Heronswood to Burpee was a blow to the heart for many. Thankfully, that period has passed. The hydrangea came from my friend who closed her nursery and I received many plants from her, this hydrangea being one, unlabeled and she could not begin to remember which one it is. I'm now growing plants previously unknown to me. She carried the harder to find plants, especially since we have few nurseries available right here in our immediate area and the loss of her nursery is a blow to the locals also.

I'm going to go look that up now. It's still potted and may remain so, though in a larger tub. It's been sitting in an area next to my enclosed veggie containers, only recently totally closed off to the deer and I did notice that among the plants the deer could reach, apparently only this one had been munched and will need to be in a protected area.

Thank you again.
I could be wrong...
