This may or may not appeal to your aesthetic but if concerned, I would either via an L bracket or just 3 holes skip the bracket .. ..drill into the base and get long skinny stakes ( flat nail head 6 inch ) and hammer those in right into ground...moveable ...paintable...you could even decorate the nailhead once done with a pretty vintage button or coin
