When I plant radishes for eating most get a bulb as they should.
Now some never form a real bulb but more of a stem.
If I broadcast some as I have more seed than I need and hope maybe a few will take root and I might get a few more, of those, ninety percent never bulb but grow and flower and form seed pods.
The pods are actually good eating but why is it that formally planted ones do what they are supposed to do and those broad cast over an are, till soil not hard ground mostly do not.
As an aside good insects love radish flowers.
