Spiranthes spiralis isn't listed for Alabama.

Spiranthes vernalis .. there is some cream colour on the labellum.

This sit says "It produces 4-5 basal leaves which usually persist through flowering" but the photo they show of several plants don't look to have any, the basal leaves are large so would be seen.

Oh gosh, I just came across your photos in the Spiranthes vernalis entry here on google! Now I see you have put an ID at the top. Rolling my eyes.
