I agree, Tracey! It was wonderful to meet you and your daughter in person. It makes these friendships based on shared interests rather than shared experiences real, doesn't it? Hopefully we'll meet even more people from this forum in the future.
So today we went to Klehm's Song Sparrow, Sissons Historical Garden and one of the APS officer's gardens. Klehm's was what anyone who's gone to a peony farm before would expect but was a revelation to me-I have never seen so many peonies in one place before! I saw varieties that I'd never heard of that were amazing as well as the biggest, prettiest examples of peonies I have in my garden now. I'll say it again, peonies LOVE Wisconsin! This must be the most peony friendly soil on earth. Here are a few pics, will post more when I get home.
