Not excessive considering the cutting it trying to do two jobs: 1. grow roots, and 2. bloom. Most inflo on a healthy mature plant from the time it is seen by the naked eye to blooming can take 6-8 weeks. The nice thing, it that the inflo bloom at different times so you will have flowers for a long time. Why not search the "Forums" on the far left of this screen and come over to the Plumeria Forum. You will learn a lot over there because plumeria is all we talk about!
