Let me cut in to share with you a very interesting yet real live plant: crystal orchid (flower of death).
The plant has been found in wild in China. It has no Chlorophyll in the Chloroplast of its cells and so it can't make photosynthesis with sun or other lights. You can see (from pic) it can only grow from dead leaves of other plants (the whole plant is all white crystal)... Some people who found the plants took, brought home and tried to grow them always saw them die rapidly. Hence "the flower of death"!
If a plant looks good, smells good, don't eat it, grow it!
