I have scoured the web, and best I can tell it is a combination.

Thing is, the lady I got them from said they were a rich dark purple in her yard.

Planted 2014; no blooms 2015
This year was the first :D
I love them! Really great experiance. I need to cut them but want to make sure I do it right! Thanks for your help :)

Ok im still learning the site Smiling and not entirely sure how to respond individually lol. I added the 3rd photo per daisyl's request. It's the bezt I have right now I can get a better one tommorow. All of the other plants in the picture are the same Irises, 3 of them bloomed this year, the other two closer to my porch did not. I assumed this was due to the shade. There are tiger lillies also coming up with the Irises, as you can see I severely misjudged how big they were going to get ha! Also mixex in by surprise are American Blue Eyed Grass ( which I literally just identified )

Thanks for the other responses Smiling I did check the Iris forums here which made me think it was a combination.

They are tall however I really am terrible at judging the height. I am 5'1 and they come up to my hips, much like my 3 yr old. :)

Thanks again for the responses, Im looking forward to growing with you guys 😊
