It sort of depends on what part of the plant your cuttings came from, Jeff. If you started any cuttings that came from above the Y, they will bush out and bloom sooner than the other. The very first cuttings I got, one was from above the Y, grew from 10in. to a 4ft.X4ft. shrub in one summer and bloomed 3 times that first year. The way to know is to examine the leaves carefully. If they are assymetrical where they join the stem, you have hopes of flowers sooner.

I've had cuttings bloom while they were still in the water. Truth be told, I leave cuttings in water a lot longer than I should sometimes . . Whistling

Cheryl, here are my big pink, and yellow Charles Grimaldi blooming together. They used to live inside my pool cage but just got way too big.
