Keep an eye out at your local Lowe's store, Mike. They've had some nice Vandas (and some really lousy ones) for around $25 but if you can catch them marking the plants down after they finish blooming, you can get them for half price.

Other than that we have a "local" place we meet at once or twice a year in Apopka, FL that sells tons of Vandas for $12 but not in bloom.

If you get them at a show or from a grower they'll be $40 minimum for a blooming size one, from what I've seen lately. Starts that you can order online are tiny and will take you years to ever see a flower.

But if you want to order some small starts like that Motes Orchids is the most reasonable I've seen. http://www.motesorchids.com/

Carter and Holmes has a few too, but again very small and not cheap. Maybe they'd give you a deal if you visit there any time soon for supplies.
