You are right Sandy. I knew that but got stuck on those doe eyes that it was what I kept calling it.

Debbie you are so right. It was a hard decision that I was happy to NOT have to make. All I kept thinking if I go and buy this goat milk and this deer think this is its permanent home I was never going to have a garden again. I already have herds of deer in my yard sometime because of the orchard in the back so they know there is a lot of Hostas, daylilies, and apples. I think the mother had a good meal before she gave birth and that is what happened to the hostas in the back.

I do not know why where the baby was laying was thought to be a safe place. It was next to the driveway but there is a large patch of ditch lilies.
