This was taken 5 years ago when I was on a smaller budget for gardening. I've since "grown-up" in my tastes and learned how much I didn't know about planting for pollinators and their relationship to native plants. Although there are a few pollinator plants here to provide nutrition for insects, I could have done way better- but just didn't realize how much I needed to learn about gardening and its relationship to the environment. Thanks for reading and looking!
"My work is loving the world. Here the sunflowers, there the hummingbird — equal seekers of sweetness. Here the clam deep in the speckled sand. Are my boots old? Is my coat torn? Am I no longer young, and still not half-perfect? Let me keep my mind on what matters, which is my work which is mostly standing still and learning to be astonished." — Mary Oliver, from Messenger
