Looks like Trumpet Vine to me. Yes, it's very vigorous. It will have lots of bright orange trumpet shaped flowers later in the summer if you let it stay.

To remove it, you're going to have to cut and tear it down, cut it off at ground level, and then when it sprouts up again, spray the new leaves with a weed killer. You might have to take some sandpaper to those little grippers, they really stick!
