The plugs are usually one eye, although I have purchased some the came with 2 eyes. I've lost track of how many hosta I've purchased from him over the years. (He is responsible for my rather extensive collection!) The 35mm plugs are the same size that another on-line hosta grower sells for $12.00.
He has a large inventory of hosta that are more mature, starting at $5.00 each. These starters were ordered for his regular inventory to pot on and grow, but with his daughter taking ill, he hasn't been able to devote much time and needs these gone to make room for other stuff coming in.
Since you are in Kentucky, it would make more sense for you to purchase directly than trying to do a group buy. (Unless you have some interested neighbors.) The link for the sale page is
