I skip the glaze too but I have been known to lay a thick bead of local honey or ghiradelli chocolate in the middle of the batter as I fill the bundt pan.
But..it is hidden and so no calories!
That is how it works...right??
The butter and sugar coalescing at the top makes for a very sticky crunchy top anyway...no glaze needed.
