Thank you for the compliments, Linda and Jaime!
I wrote up a long response the other day, but my internet failed just before posting! So, I simply huffed off stomping my feet!
Anyway, I was intrigued by the carnivorous plants, Jaime. Is the Venus Fly Trap in that category? When we first moved, I had high hopes of creating a cacti garden with all sorts of century plants, Mexican pole cacti, etc., but once I went out to price them, I had to scale back! Wow, they can get pricey! But, they sure don't take too much care.
I just got out yesterday and planted a few more seeds as I'm not fond of watering bare dirt. I got some butternut squash, pumpkin, corn, cucumber and more pole beans planted. I couldn't believe I still had a head of iceberg lettuce going strong, so I dropped in some romaine while I was at it. I'm still waiting on my bulb onion to fall over! Those have been in the ground since Feb/March!
The pattypan squash is providing us with much these days. Boy, that's a squash worth growing!
Take care in the summer heat... Stay hydrated and dream of snow!
