Fasciation has always been fascinating to me. Here's a quick page dealing with fasciation in lilies. I found it interesting that the cause was given as good culture! I think things like rapid changes in weather conditions at a certain stage of growth might be more likely.

Here's a Cecil stem that came from Moby's garden last year. We all know her lily culture is great.
I will post photos of the flowers once this opens.
