Welcome! I think wherever you are you should not dig around it as that will damage the roots. Do you think it got too wet? Yellow leaves can indicate a number of things from normal aging to nutritional deficiencies to diseases and other problems. Usually yellowing of the oldest leaves is not particularly worrisome. If you could post a picture of the plant it would help greatly.
