I was given a small cutting of this about 30 years ago and was told it was a broad leaf cactus. It is woody rather than succulent, the leaves turn beautiful yellow/orange with pinkish red on the bottom when it is in full sun; it gets leggy without enough sun in the winter. The thorns are narrow and sharp (a lesson I repeatedly seem to have to learn first hand). It roots very easily from cuttings. I'm told it is native to Africa. Anyone know what it is? Thanks!!
