I live a short distance from Raleigh in NC. My zone is a bit cooler than when we lived in Louisiana but I would love to see a SE regional discussion.
One topic of interest to me is when hurricane season comes and what people might be doing - if anything - for the torrential downpours we get from tropical storms. I realize the rains recede fairly quickly where I live but it seems a lot of rain comes about the same time and I'm a little concerned about nature's "over watering". Nearly everything in my gardens is now in raised beds so drainage is quick but I'd love to hear what others do during those exciting moments in our corner of the country.
