Well now, we always tell people that the plant returns to normal the next year---but, that's not always true. Some do parish. I've always been taught that normal blooming is even stressful to a plant. I can imagine blooming in fasciation must be very, very stressful. I've never dug one to experiment, but a fascinated lily must have one hell of a lot of stem roots to feed all that growth. Shrug!
