Ok, great guys, thanks! I have an area that I really want hostas and have trees planted that will eventually give mostly shade, but for now just too much sun. It is easy to water because the spout is close, and I will put them in fairly good soil and mulch them. I think some of mine burned because I morning watered and then the sun came out and they burned holes in them. I do not ever water in the morning now, only evening. I think that gives them more time to drink it up and be cool before the sun sucks it all away. Zone 6 and my afternoons in July and Aug are pretty hot.
