I have a couple of them staked up there, mostly because they aren't placed in an optimum location. Opulent and Northwest Passage both would likely be happier in full sun. It's a matter of moving them around. I have a total of about 35- 8 foot stakes around the yard. None of the orientals, no matter where I put them, ever need staking. Not that I can think of anyway....
