I was talking about Serracenia in general and your discomfort with digging up bogs but not creekbeds.

Ecological impact is a relative term (I'm only doing a little damage, not like those guys with bulldozers....).

The only way you can make Nepenthes happy in a hanging basket is to raise the humidity. Maybe one of those Artic Misters that attach to hoses, pointed directly at the plant would work.
