11) GENTLE SHEPHERD x MARGO REED INDEED 01-Aug-15 28-Sep-15 08-Oct-15 7 D $5
Margo Reed Indeed, a highly sought after cultivar, has a beautiful form and tall, slender scapes. Gentle Shepherd brings a clearer white to the table (commonly cited as being one of the whitest whites) and thicker petal substance.

12) GENTLE SHEPHERD x THANKS TWO FRIENDS 08-Aug-15 05-Oct-15 25-Oct-15 18 D $5
SOLD
Gentle Shepherd has the clear white genes and Thanks Two Friends is a double with a great color. She never photographs accurately for me, always appearing much redder or pinker than she is, but she is a medium to dark purple with a darker purple eye zone. She blooms early in the season and reblooms again mid-season here. The hope is that she will pass on those genetics to some lavender-colored babies. If you like light purple/lavender daylilies, this cross is for you!

13) GENTLE SHEPHERD x Unknown - "MYSTERY WHITE"? 31-Jul-15 28-Sep-15 08-Oct-15 14 D $4
SOLD
This was a white match in heaven. No unknowns here, just two, clear whites as parents. If you want seedlings that are uniquely yours, but you know you want them to be as white as possible, this is the match for you. This cross was part of my quest to create a true-white. It may never happen in my lifetime, but if it does, it'll almost undoubtedly come from a cross like this.

14) JIM'S PICK x BLACK PLUSH 22-Jul-15 16-Sep-15 20-Sep-15 15 D $5
SOLD
The color on Jim's Pick is hard to describe in words, but it looks like your eyes are drinking in a peach-mango smoothie. Many of my daylilies are fragrant in my garden, but Jim's Pick is
heavenly. Black Plush is a beautiful, deep dark near-black that always gets attention and compliments. It won people's choice in one of the categories at the regional daylily show last year and I have seen other, well-known hybridizers using it in their hybridizing program in recent years. It's an oldie-but-greatie.
This cross was made in the hopes of getting a purple-hued polychromatic daylily, with most of the features of Jim's Pick, but pulling in some of the color of Black Plush. Also, I should note that Black Plush poly's for me a LOT in my garden. It isn't registered as a poly, but it doesn't seem to know that. I would guess that about 20-25% of the blooms have atleast one extra petal or sepal (or more).

15) JIM'S PICK x LITTLE GRAPETTE 29-Jul-15 24-Sep-15 08-Oct-15 8 D $3
SOLD
Jim's Pick has a larger, polychromatic bloom with pink and peach coloring, whereas Little Grapette brings a medium red-purple to the table (the picture shows it far more pink than it is...imagine the same intensity of color, but in purple). Little Grapette has small blooms whereas Jim's Pick has large blooms. Little Grapette has shorter scapes and Jim's Pick has taller scapes. This cross was done for fun, but with the hopes of seeing a wide range of sizes and colors.

16) JIM'S PICK x SAINT ELMO'S FIRE 16-Jul-15 08-Sep-15 12-Sep-15 14 D $4
SOLD
This should produce babies with a WIDE range of looks. The blooms couldn't be much more different in appearance. Add in the fact that Saint Elmo's Fire is a bud-builder and Jim's Pick's fragrance and some of these babies are likely to have some GREAT traits. Ideally, it would be fun to see a poly-chromatic, bud-building baby with white midribs and heavy fragrance come out of this combination. This one should be great!

18) JOAN SENIOR x BLACK PLUSH 14-Jul-15 16-Aug-15 25-Aug-15 4 D $2
Looking to see some pink or purple spider-types? This cross should give you a range of pinks and/or purples in its babies.

19) JOAN SENIOR x MARGO REED INDEED 11-Aug-15 26-Sep-15 08-Oct-15 13 D $6
SOLD
This cross was done to improve the white-ness of Margo Reed Indeed with Joan Senior's superior clarity of white...as well as to increase the strength of the scape over Margo Reed Indeeds scapes. I remember last year a bunch of people were looking for Margo Reed Indeed...this is a chance to get the Margo Reed Indeed genetics in, possibly, an improved form by way of seedling.

20) JOAN SENIOR x OLALLIE KEITH STONE'S SUNSET 15-Jul-15 05-Sep-15 12-Sep-15 6 D $5
I don't know for sure what the purpose of this cross was, but it stands a good chance of being a sparkly pastel (whether pink or peach) that may or may not have an eye. OKSS was VERY bloomy this year for me, so it is my hope that the babies from these seeds will produce bloomy plants, too! OKSS is a very early bloomer, whereas Joan Senior seems to be a mid- to mid-late bloomer in my garden.
[Please forgive the fact that I'm using someone else's picture for Joan Senior. I don't have ready access to many blooms of Joan Senior because she just started blooming very recently and all of last year's pictures of her aren't on my main hard drive. The few pictures I have don't represent her true color.)
