Re-pot now by all means. I use a more gritty mix by mixing Cactus potting soil with equal amounts of perlite and poultry grit (crushed granite). If those gravel stones are glued on, they must come off. Now is best so it has a chance to adjust and grow before coming inside for the winter. Grit can be purchase at feed stores. It cost me $8.50 for a 50 lb. bag. Smaller bags are more at $6.50 for 10 lbs. Great substitute for pumice which can't be had around here.
Wait for the stapelia to bloom first or else it will drop it's flowers.
