Gentle Shepherd has been in my northern garden for at least 20 years and has survived many harsh winters, so it is reliably winter hardy in my zone. It blooms well for me in a challenging spot under a pine tree where it competes with the pine for moisture and sun. It is the whitest daylily that I grow, and I always appreciate the cool white appearance of this daylily.
